Agile Developers and Strong Support Team

In fulfillment of the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area, on the basis of the Geometa platform, a state information system for urban planning (The System) has been implemented since December 2019.

The following functions are implemented in the System:

  • providing automation in terms of preparing documents for the provision of state and municipal services in electronic form;
  • automation of the System, including the processes associated with the formation and processing of spatial data when maintaining the System.

Today, in the region, with the help of the System, the task of converting state and municipal services into electronic form has been solved (the provision of services in paper form is excluded). The System provides automatic placement, storage, search, provision of documents on urban planning, and information about them. The System increases the productivity of a specialist and reduces the likelihood of technical error.

One of the most difficult stages of implementation is the task of training people how to work with the new system. The developers of the Geometa platform (Gems development) organized the work of the technical support service providing consultations. Technical support specialists patiently explain how to work with the system’s functionality.

While working on the System, users send proposals for improving the System, which are promptly accepted and implemented by the developers. Analysts of the Geometa platform quickly react to changes in the legislation and provide the system with the appropriate tool.

We wish the developers to keep improving the system, taking into account the further development of the urban planning industry, economic challenges, and the introduction of new technologies!
